Four prosecutors recommend 87 – 108 months for Roger Stone.
Apparently they recommended an outrageously harsh sentence in an attempt to force William Barr’s hand, for the sake of optics: to make it look like he’s interfering, in order to give fodder to activist journalists.
However, a slight of hand move by Trump: (better details later:) Trump recommended a post for Liu, causing her resignation from her then current post, before Trump withdrew the recommendation. (updates likely next week)
