The FBI is not allowed to investigate the DNC's computers. Crowdstrike is brought in Mid April. The timeline suggests that by obscuring the actual date of discovery and report, this gave planners time, before the breach was publicly known, to get Joseph Mifsud to tell George Papadopoulos information which Alexander Downer and Stefan Halper would later attempt to record him repeating. Transcripts of Stefan Halper's failed attempt to entrap Papadopoulos have been seen by Trey Gowdy and John Radcliff.
